Primary duties and responsibilities include the selling and promotion of EKF Diagnostics products, over the phone, to achieve sales goals, forecasts and maintain customer relations in order to drive market penetration and profitable growth for EKF Diagnostics products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct sales calls, via telephone, into the designated target market(s), Acute Care, Alternate Site (POL) or Public Health, to increase profitable sales growth.
  • Identify key contacts and develop strong relationships within the laboratories of the designated target market(s), their distributors within the assigned territory, as well as with the WIC Agencies.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell to new and existing customers.
  • Approved field travel as budget permits, to conduct sales calls with existing customers and prospects within the designated markets when necessary and as directed by Sales Management.
  • Contact existing customers for business referrals.
  • Conduct direct sales calls near and around existing Stanbio customers to leverage the Stanbio product portfolio.
  • Develop customer target lists using websites, sales reports, and other means recommended by Sales Management.
  • Assist Marketing in the launch of strategic initiatives and product promotions to the designated target market(s) and distributors in order to increase sales, profitability, market penetration and customer retention.
  • Respond to and follow-up on any and all sales leads generated by all Stanbio resources.
  • Support the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) in growing the overall business within the territory in order to achieve sales goals.
  • Properly maintain and update “SalesLogix” (customer-relationship management software), with the entry of accurate and relevant information.
  • Develop an accurate monthly forecast for the assigned territory utilizing SalesLogix.
  • Attend all necessary meetings to perform the position’s primary duties and responsibilities, and to develop business and organizational strategies with the management team as needed.
  • Attend and participate in ongoing training as necessary to develop relevant product, market and competitive knowledge and selling skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Associate degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Domestic/International Sales; or one to three years related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years related sales experience; Medical diagnostic industry experience, a plus!
  • A sales-driven, goal-oriented, self-motivated personality and a positive attitude.
  • Maximizes results by striving to consistently meet or exceed sales quota.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Strong phone etiquette and experience dialing multiple calls per day.
  • Skilled at uncovering opportunities based on customer needs.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to rapidly build knowledge of EKF Diagnostic product lines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships over the phone.
  • A high level of integrity, and resilient temperament.
  • Cold calling experience including closing business over the phone (avg. 100-150 calls per week)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, sales funnel management
  • Experience working with national distributors
  • Experience managing large territory (multiple states).
